Jane's Fabric Giveaway

Janes Fabric is having a great giveaway here now my dilemma is choosing which of them I'd like to win....they are all so great, but my tendancy is leaning towards the Moda Butterfly fabric....well, what sort of a Nanny would I be if I didn't try and win fabric with butterflies on it, when my delightful grand daughters nickname is Butterfly TaShie....so, I think I'll put my name in the hat for that one. Why don't you pop on over to Sew Fantastic and enter the draw yourself.....hurry though as it ends in a couple of days....quick, you'll kick yourself if you miss out.

Annie Doll Swap

Well, I've finally managed to find a swap that hasn't started yet, thanks to Vickie, as it was on her blog (see, I do read ya blogs from time to time!)....mind you though, it's for an Annie doll....should be interesting, as this will be my 2nd doll ever...my first will be posted about shortly.

Anyway, back to the Annie swap....here's the link, in case you want to sign up (it closes on 30th March, 2009).

Stay tuned for some pics coming up shortly of some bags, coin purses and the "doll".

Belated Birthday greetings to me!

Yes, I managed to reach another milestone in my life....on February 22nd I turned 41...oh I feel so old, yet act so young...why is my mind so youthful, but my body is wearing out? lol I guess it's only downhill from here on in, so best I hurry up and get busy with things I want to do....I have enough on my "To Do List" to kill off 100 craft people....but still I keep adding to it!

But I digress, I actually wanted to tell you all about the C-R-A-F-T group I'm in...they're a wonderful bunch of women who spoilt me rotten in our Birthday Squishie Swap...see pics following....

This one shows all the envelopes spread out on my kitchen/sewing table....for once it was minus the machines that are usually adorning it, because I'd put them away to accomodate visitors placing things on the table whilst attending my Birthday BBQ. Some of them are real muck tubs and I hate the thought of alcohol or food getting all over my craft stuff!

That's the stack of fabric that came out of the envelopes.....WOW aren't I lucky? *Did heaps of happy dances when I unwrapped them I can tell you* See on top of the pile? That's a folding shopping bag....now I make folding shopping bags, in a few different styles, but haven't made any that fold up quite this small, it's brilliant, and so nice and bright...and the good thing is, no one else I know has one! Nerr nerr nerr nerr nerr!

That shows a pic of everything spread out...so many pretties hey? There was a pattern, some buttons, a magnetic memo pad, a set of notecards & envelopes, some scrapbooking bling type stuff, some panels (Loralie Designs...my fave!). I got fabrics from Australia, America, Holland, Canada and the UK...I think that's all of them....if you're seeing your squishie in the pic, and I haven't mentioned your country, please reprimand me, and I'll fix it up!

You get to pic what colours/theme you're after and I chose Purples or bright novelty prints...and it's great seeing what everyone picked out.

So, once again, thank you so much to my C-R-A-F-T group family...you all mean the world to me.

It wasn't just my crafting family who spoilt me with presents....I also got a laptop computer, a laser printer, 2 whiteboards, a fax/photcopier machine, some notebooks and some toffee (locally made macademia nut one....very moorish and gave me a sore tooth, and have nearly eaten it all now...hint hint Hayley!), Cash....all up about $170.00....some even already in Spotlight vouchers which, if you don't know, is a craft store (large) which I frequent often *grins* I finally got the Alvin & the Chipmunks movie....funny as it is! But I guess you have to love chipmunks to truly appreciate it!, a butterfly fridge magnet....(my adopted sister Karen, whom I self adopted seens as though my family and I don't see eye to eye bought it for me coz I collect fridge magnets and she likes butterflies!), I got some (lavender) soaps coz they were purple (Thanks Cliffy) and some earrings....I'm sure I got more, but that's all I can remember off the top of my head...no, I was wrong, there was something else I thought of....a Desperate Housewife (that's what it says on the front of it) apron....now I think that's it.

Alrighty, I think I've now made up for not posting for a while...with the length of this one....hope to be posting some more pics of stuff I've made soon, and am working on a giveaway too...just to see who actually comes and checks my blog!
