Sad News

R-I-P Mum 7th November 1923 - 1st September 2009

Such sad news I'm sharing today. My darling mum passed away, peacefully at home, sometime in the morning of Tuesday 1st September 2009.

Today I searched for a poem that summed up the way I'm feeling at the moment, and found the following poem:

Her Journey's Just Begun

Don't think of her as gone away,
Her journey's just begun.
Life holds so many facets,
This earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears,
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
That we could know today,
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away.
And think of her as living
In the hearts of those she touched,
For nothing loved is ever lost
And she was loved so much.

There's now a huge void in my life but Mum will always be in my heart forever. I love you Jannyman (a nickname she got from someone a long time ago) and hope your reunion with Dad was everything you imagined it would be.

My mum touched the hearts of alot of peoples' lives in her lifetime and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a strong and loving mum, and loyal friend and work colleague.

If your mum is still alive, please take some time to spend with her, as all too soon, she could be taken from you, never to give you another kiss, another hug, or another one of those "NAOMI" looks that meant you'd done or said something she felt you shouldn't have....don't let it be too late to tell your loved ones you love them and care for them.

Hugs
Naomi
